I’ve been working at Carbon Zero for nearly 2 months now and it’s been really busy and varied…
After learning basic theory I begun work on my first feasibility report, for a site in the lake district.
Fourth day, first field excursion of my graduate career to conduct a water features survey in Nottingham.
In my second week I learnt how to create models for analysing Thermal Response Test data.
Week 3 began with an introduction to QGIS In only a few days I had begun to build a database for the QGIS mapping software and was able to produce quality maps and report figures.
Towards the end of the first month I drove to North Yorkshire to be trained on how to use 2 different Thermal Response Test boxes.
Last week myself and my Carbon Zero colleagues attended a team event at Warwick University with the wider RSK Geosciences team. We rewarded ourselves with a few drinks in the bar.
I’ve learnt so much already and am looking forward to finding out what I’ll get up to next…..
